Persuasion. Taking action. Behavioral change. These are all in a day's work of the church benefits communicator. On a daily basis we're encouraging members to plan for retirement or adopt healthy lifestyles; we're helping churches comply with the new 403(b) regulations or coaching staff to adopt new technology. Our work is all about getting the audience to take action. This session will present a strategic approach to embracing change and encouraging engagement. Communications Breakout Session
"ERM2: Linking Enterprise Risk with Reputation Management"
Moderator: Holly Vincent Bean, The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board
Speaker: Kathy Tunheim, Tunheim Partners, Inc.
Our ability to serve those who serve ultimately hinges on the level of trust and confidence people have placed in us throughout the years. As church benefits organizations, we have worked hard to build a solid reputation, establish a brand identity and hence earn the trust and confidence of our many constituents. Yet, organization reputations and brand equity are increasingly vulnerable and at risk to erosion - especially if they are not actively managed. Join other church benefits colleagues as we explore the art and science of reputation management in ways that strengthen our service and brand by continually making deposits to our good-will reserves. Kathy Tunheim will be our speaker. She has served as president and chief executive officer throughout the firm’s evolution to Tunheim Partners, Inc. With her own areas of specialization in corporate communications and communications strategy, she maintains an active role in many of the agency’s client relationships. Another area of distinction is Kathy’s significant experience in governance: she has worked as communications counsel to numerous corporate boards of directors, and has served as trustee and board chair of numerous large nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. She is also a well known crisis communications counselor to senior executives, and is
honored to have had the opportunity. |
